Filmmaker

Richard Luan is a passionate young filmmaker based in Orange County, California, with a strong interest in film production and storytelling. He's currently 17 years old. Through his studies in advanced digital filmmaking and technical theatre, Richard has explored different sides of visual storytelling, from writing and directing to acting and behind-the-scenes production. He has created original short films and screenplays that focus on emotional experiences, relationships, and the challenges people face in understanding themselves and others. Richard sees filmmaking as more than entertainment. For him, film is a way to express emotions that are difficult to communicate through words alone and to build connections through shared experiences. His interest in storytelling has encouraged him to continue developing his skills in screenwriting, directing, cinematography, and production while experimenting with different genres and styles. Through each project, Richard hopes to become a filmmaker who can tell meaningful stories that allow audiences to see the world from different perspectives. He believes that films can help people feel understood, encourage them to reflect on their own lives, and remind them to appreciate the people and moments around them. As he continues his filmmaking journey, Richard hopes to bring his own creative voice to the film industry and create stories that leave a lasting emotional impact on audiences.
